Alliance Member Location

Post by BlueMoonWarrior » Tue May 15, 2018 8:38 pm

Hi all,

Earlier today I was attempting to locate a member of my alliance in the game but ended up spending ages searching through the map.

Now, this is likely a problem for a lot of players and I thought it was worth mentioning.

A feature should be added where a player can find the location of another player as long as they are both in the same alliance. This would make it easier to send them resources, reinforce them, or just look around the area they are located if really necessary.

Anyhow, it would certainly be helpful to alliance leaders as it allows them to see where all their members are located throughout the server.

Thanks,
BlueMoonWarrior

Greetings Commander BlueMoonWarrior,

thank you for reaching out with your suggestions to improve Instant War. You may try the following:

1. Sharing your own coordinates in the alliance chat can be easily done by writing the coordinates with a dot symbol "." between them (for example 123.456). This will create a message that your allies can tap on and focus on the specified Commander city on the world map.
2. You can also use the Strategic Map button (on the left) to view Allied cities on the world map.
3. You can reinforce alliance members directly from the Alliance Battles menu. Allies that are under attack will be displayed there - a green button next to the ally member will allow you to send reinforcements to their city without the need to look for them on the world map.

Thank you for the suggestions BlueMoonWarrior. We'll make sure your opinion reaches the dev team.

I know that you can share your location but, if an alliance member is offline and the alliance leader is attempting to locate them as a matter of urgency, it's not possible for them to do so easily. It would require them to spend quite a while attempting to find them on the strategic map, which is like looking for a needle in a haystack, especially when the alliance member is not in the general location of your alliance and possibly on the opposite side of the map.

Hello BlueMoonWarrior,

thank you for the feedback. We believe the reinforcement is the most urgent action one should be able to easily take in the absence of an ally member - this is why the process is more fluent and requires no knowledge of the exact coordinates of your allies. Please give an example of another "matter of urgency" and we will make sure that your concerns and suggestions are presented to the development team.

Thank you for reaching out to us :) !
